Not a single thing I can complain about casts a large fly great and fights big fish with ease. Not another rod of the market as good for the price! Cant beat having an extra tip either!

Not much more you can ask for in a good musky stick.. has the back bone to cast large flies all day, give me assurance of not blowing out the shoulder or elbow. Good cost especially for an extra tip!

Never even knew fly fishing for musky was a thing. Decided It was a difficult enough task to warrant being a bucket list adventure. So I purchased the River wolf at the recommendation of some local Fly fisherman and friends. I cant say much for any other brands but to this date I have casted this rod Thousands of times. From tiny mountain river tributaries to Large lakes chasing musky. In the process I landed my first musky ever, and on the Fly at that. One thing that I was told over and over again was that fly fishing with an 11wt all day would wear my shoulder out. However I have yet to do so with this rod. Even fishing a 3 day tournament I barley got sore. The extra tip saved my butt the last trip I was on. I'm not saying everyone will have the same experience but when a rod does what its supposed to do it takes a lot of work out of the process. Overall I've been very please with this rods ability to deliver heavy 12+ inch flies.

Bought 11wt for musky fishing. It will throw those big flies with no problem. It handles well in boat and the bigger fighting butt makes it great for 2 handed casting so you can stay on the water longer. Love this rod

Got a couple these for Salmon, Musky and Pike. Great rods for the price. The slower action on the rod is a big plus. So many new rods feel like your casting a broom handle. Loads deep and springs back like a fly rod should. Try'em out!

I bought the green version. It’s one awesome rod. I’ll be using it to chase river muskies here in eastern Ky.

Having fun with it, it's by far the largest rig I've owned. Going to chase some muskie soon.

The river wolf is awesome. Has no problem throwing the biggest flies and loads wonderfully.

I think this is the best musky fly rod on the market! It casts a country mile, it is easy to fish all day long, and the two colour options are pretty cool! Makes it easier to tell which set up I am grabbing on the boat and the yellow reminds me of my first fishing rod, a glass noodle rod! The extra tip and the long fighting butt really round out an awesome package...definitely not as worried about making boat side maneuvers with this rod!

Cuts through the wind like a hot knife through butter. I love the feel of this rod. Super responsive, forgiving yet technical. Sends a heavy fly without any drag or resistance. A must have for musky, can’t wait to give it a whirl on rooster.

I have been casting this 11 weight in my backyard. Great accuracy 65+feet. I like the fact I can double hand cast too. Bluefish will be around in a couple months. I’ll really let you know the true results then.

I am a novice musky fly fisherman and I can cast large flies surpsingly well with the river wolf 11wt even when it gets fairly windy out. I love the feel of the rod and the amount of backbone it has. Great product and an exceptional company to deal with!
